Local-first from the factory floor

Production systems behind everything we use, from car components to baby food, have been running without the internet since the 1970s. We at UMH build open-source data infrastructure for those factories. We ended up building what this community calls local-first. By necessity, not by choice. I’ll show you who we build for, what we’ve built so far, and what we’ve learned about local-first by arriving at it through manufacturing constraints.
